Korea - Mungyeong town
Mungyeong which means "hearing good news" is a tiny mountainous village in rural south Korea. Two and a half hours outside of Seoul, it's a popular place for the locals to go for weekend getaways in the mountains. It has not become a tourist hotspot yet so we were literally the only non-Koreans in Mungyeong the entire weekend.
Our little hotel room with the entrance where you take off your shoes and put on slippers.
Kingsley and I ate a traditional Korean BBQ dinner, sitting on the hardwood floor, after a full day of paragliding. We could not read the menu or communicate with the waitress so we were never really sure what exactly we were eating. Some of it was great...some of it was a little interesting. But after a lunch of Pringles and tuna we were not too picky. Ok maybe I was just a little picky. Lets just say it wasnt my finest hour and Kingsley was made well aware that he had done a subpar job of feeding his wife that day.
Even his meager attempt at bribeing me with fresh squeezed lemonade didn't brighten my mood or elevate my blood sugar.
Kingsley in a self imposed time-out. That and a large handful of almonds (an essential travel item) from my stash in the hotel room and I was pretty sure I would survive.
