Graham and Lesley in Singapore

Graham and Lesley spent the last two weeks with Kingsley and I in Singapore.  We did a lot in two weeks but it still seems like the time flew by.  We had so much fun showing them around Singapore and introducing them to many new experiences. Most of which were very successful...some not so much!

First Sushi experience at Sun Tech city on a busy Sat afternoon.  This was their first time using chopsticks and eating sashimi.  Both Graham and Lesley made huge efforts to eat what we put in front of them but it was pretty clear sushi was never going to be on their list of favorite foods!

Great photo showing the masses of people that crowd the malls on the weekends. Dodging people all day makes me a little stressed but I'm pretty sure Graham and Lesley were much more traumatized by eating raw fish then the hordes of people.

First time riding a four person bicycle.  I have been eyeing this bike for two years now and it just so happened that there was one available to rent the day we took Graham and Lesley to the East Coast Park. The bike looks so simple and with four people peddling you would think you could really get some speed but this thing weighed a ton and there were no gears so it was actually REALLY hard work.  We barley survived the one hour rental!

My favorite part was getting to steer and use the bell.  My driving, evidently made Kingsley and his mom incredibly nervous so I had two "backseat drivers" who frequently called out to pedestrians warning them to clear a path for me.  It was great!!

Lesley in front of the Ion shopping mall in Orchard road.

Sitting on our bean bag chairs to watch a mini concert at the esplanade.

First sighting of the Merlion - half fish, half lion Singapores national mascot.

Kingsley and Graham play Sunday morning tennis while Lesley and I went to check out the South African grocery store to purchase biltong and boerewors for dinner.

Exploring the Buddah Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown.

First time on the Singapore MRT underground trains. By the end of the 2 weeks Graham and Lesley were experts at riding the train and were able to find their own way all around Singapore.
