New Zealand - Marlborough Wine Tasting

My favorite wines in the world are the Sauvignon Blancs that come from the Marlborough region in New Zealand. We had a chance to spend a few days wine tasting, every single wine I tasted was incredible but we did have a few favorite wineries (circled on the map above).

How could you not love a wine that is typically described using words like:

"zesty and crisp ripe tropical aromatics, gooseberry, lychee, pineapple flavours, and a touch of passionfruit."

The wineries we visited along the Marlborough wine trail were so amazing that Kingsley, who typically prefers beer, finally converted and fell in love with the Sav Blancs (and Ice wines).

Loved that the bikes had wine chillers on the back.

Our campsite (number 7), a quiet spot down by the river, perfect after a day of wine tasting.

Gibson Bridge was another favorite spot - a small boutique winery that specializes in Pinot Gris.
