John and Carly spent a few days with us in Singapore before we all head to Bali together.  As this was Carly's first trip to Asia I wanted to do a little something extra special to welcome her to our home.  I know this probably makes me a bad person but I just couldn't resist buying some chicken feet at the grocery store to place strategically in the fridge for Carly to discover.



I thought it might take a while for her to spot them but she noticed them right away and screeched "WHAT IS THAT?!!" I of course calmly replied that I had bought them with the expectation that later that night we would do a little BBQ.  I only wish I had been able to capture the look of horror the crossed her face before she replied while backing away from the fridge "Oh there is NO WAY I am eating chicken feet".  I could tell for the rest of the day Carly was just a little bit stressed about the thought of being presented with chicken feet for dinner.  It wasn't until much later that I gleefully confessed it was all a joke.
