Post Travel Grocery Debacle

After three weeks away in Seattle our cupboards were essentially bare and the fridge empty so despite 24 hours of travel and a sleepless first night in Singapore I trudged off the grocery store with granny cart in tow to do some serious grocery shopping.

When I walked into the grocery store it was a deceptively beautiful day - not a cloud in the brilliant blue sky with the sunlight sparkling off the water.  I should have known better...

An hour later I walked outside with a heavily ladened grocery cart into torrential rain.  With lightening and thunder SO loud it set off every car alarm in the parking lot!  Why, oh why did I feel the need to stock up on canned goods, today of all days!!

A few days ago I did extra laps around the parking lot in my rental car to get a parking spot one row closer to the entrance of Whole Foods in Seattle...and now I was stuck with more bags then humanly possible to carry all at once and not a taxi in sight...

Somehow this was all just a little too much for jet lagged hazed brain to cope with so instead of tears I burst out laughing hysterically and could not stop myself...for a very long time...despite the blatant stares from everyone around me.

Somedays all you can do is laugh...
